Lynette has a wide range of professional experience that has given her unique insight into both law and business.  She has a broad background and a strong professional ethic.  She has drafted applications for filing both domestically and internationally.

Legal Experience

Prior to joining Lempia Summerfield Katz LLC, Lynette was a sole practitioner engaged in a varied legal practice.  She has advised clients in business and estate planning, intellectual property, and other legal matters.

She has also worked both as an attorney and a civil engineer with the City of Chicago.  Lynette spent many years with the city as a contract negotiator for the Department of Purchasing and as an Assistant Chief Engineer.  She has significant experience enforcing City of Chicago building codes and negotiating contracts for large construction projects.

Non-Legal Experience

Lynette’s career began as an engineer where she gained technical experience in both private and public civil engineering design and construction projects.  She also estimated and managed engineering project budgets and construction schedules for private clients and public entities.
